What we do
Nexus-connected people are creating spaces for shared encounters with the arts in England, Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Sweden, Holland, Norway, Poland, Hungary, Slovenia, China, Lebanon, Canada and the USA. New groups are popping up in big cities and small rural towns.
Through sharing inspiration, ideas, practical support and encouragement, we help people create local events and groups with a Nexus shape. Nexus activities are characterized by:
- Mutual Respect: We bring people together to share their journeys. We listen empathetically to each other, not to judge, but to understand.
- Personal Experience: Our lives are our starting point. We pay more attention to experiences, intuitions, and questions than to opinions and ‘knowledge’.
- Community: Together we open undiscovered inner territory. As we learn to pause, to look, to listen, to encounter, to join, to think, to feel, fresh perspectives and feelings may emerge.
Nexus events become practice grounds for the development of inner habits, the ability to see beyond the superficial, stereotypical, immediate and literal in our everyday lives. Our conversations help us to unpack our experiences so that, together, we find much needed wisdom for our current chapter of living. It’s not easy to do on your own. When our own inner voice interacts with the voices of others we trust, we feel less alone in the world, and life becomes more meaningful.
